TYPES OF PASSPORTS & WHAT MAKES THEM DIFFERENT

A passport is an official document issued by a government that identifies the bearer as a citizen of that country and entitles them to travel internationally. In India, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is responsible for issuing passports. The validity of a passport in India is usually 10 years (5 years for minors). The passport application fee varies depending on the type of passport you are applying for. The fee for an ordinary passport is ₹1500 for adults and ₹1000 for minors. Passports can be renewed up to six months before their expiry date. The renewal process is similar to the application process.
